Providing Feedback and Approvals
Clear, consolidated feedback keeps your project moving. Here's how to make the feedback process as smooth as possible.
Where to Give Feedback
Always leave feedback in Asana on the relevant task or in the review link provided. Avoid: - Emailing feedback separately (it gets lost) - Giving feedback verbally without following up in writing - Sending feedback in multiple messages over time
How to Give Effective Feedback
Be specific. Instead of "I don't like this," try:
- "The header feels too dark — can we try the lighter brand blue (#0096FF)?"
- "This section needs to come before the pricing block"
- "The mobile layout is breaking on iPhone 14 — here's a screenshot"
If something is working well, say so — it helps us know what to keep.
Feedback Rounds
Most deliverables include two rounds of revisions unless otherwise specified in your proposal. A round is one complete set of consolidated feedback — not a back-and-forth exchange.
To make the most of your rounds: - Gather all stakeholder feedback internally before submitting - Submit one consolidated list, not multiple separate messages
Approvals
When a deliverable is ready for sign-off, you'll be notified in Asana. To approve:
- Review the deliverable thoroughly
- Leave any final feedback or mark the task Approved in Asana
- If approved, we'll proceed to the next phase
Approvals may be required before we can proceed, so timely responses keep the project on schedule.
