Activity Digest

Modified on Mon, 27 Apr at 8:59 PM

The BookingItNow activity digest sends you an automatic email summary of your booking activity. It's a quick way to stay on top of what's happening across your services without having to log in to check.

What's in the digest

  • Key metrics — links sent, requests submitted, bookings confirmed, abandoned bookings, and total revenue from linked orders
  • By service — a breakdown of activity and order value per service
  • Recent activity — the last 10 booking events with customer name, service, status, and value
  • Action buttons — direct links to review items in Jobber, Calendly, or Cal.com so you can action them immediately
  • Plan usage — a notice if you're approaching your plan's booking limit

Setting up the digest

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Scroll to Activity Digest
  3. Choose how often to receive it:
  4. Off — no automatic digest (you can still send one manually from the Analytics page)
  5. Daily — a morning summary of the previous day's activity
  6. Weekly — sent every Monday morning covering the previous week
  7. When there's activity — only sends when at least one booking event occurred in the period. No email on quiet days.
  8. Set the Send to email address — defaults to your Shopify store owner email if left blank
  9. Click Save digest settings

Sending a digest on demand

Go to Analytics and use the Email me this report button to send a digest immediately for any time period — useful before a team meeting or when you want to check in at any time.

Action buttons in the digest

At the bottom of each digest, you'll see direct action links based on which providers you've connected:

  • Review Requests in Jobber — goes straight to your Jobber requests list
  • Open Client Hub — opens your Jobber Client Hub (if configured)
  • View in Calendly — goes to your Calendly event types
  • Open Cal.com — goes to your Cal.com upcoming bookings

These are there so you can go from reading the digest to actioning items in under a minute.

Understanding the metrics

Metric What it means
Links sent Total booking links or Client Hub links emailed to customers
Requests in Jobber requests created directly via API
Confirmed Bookings confirmed by the customer (Calendly/Cal.com only)
Abandoned Links sent but customer never booked
Revenue Sum of the Shopify order value for all bookings in the period

Note on revenue: This is the revenue from the Shopify order at the time of checkout — not the lifetime value of the customer in Jobber. It reflects what was collected at the point of sale.
